The issues that are important to you is Judge Fudge's concern.

Judge Barney Fudge was appointed (instead of his opponent) because he was, and still is, the best man for the job. And he has proven it. He’s earned the respect of his peers, law enforcement, and others in our judicial system. He has been endorsed by the Wichita Falls Police Association. He has worked diligently to keep the docket running smoothly. He has 40 years of experience in civil law, the majority of cases heard in our three district courts.

The real issue is:

Why would you replace a judge whose work ethic is unquestionable, whose commitment is to serve all of the people in Wichita County, and who makes decisions based on law, not social pressure or any other kind of pressure? Why would you replace a judge who is doing a great job?

I’ve lived in Wichita Falls for over forty years. As a person who takes voting seriously, I am concerned about our District Attorney wanting to be a judge. A judge should be totally impartial.  Mr. Macha has spent his professional life being a District Attorney.  His experience has been on the “convicting” side of the table. I think it would be very difficult to sit there, as judge, and listen without prejudice. He’s been in charge of getting criminals convicted for 24 years. Do you really think he can be fair? Think about it.

Judge Fudge took Judge Sparkman’s place when he resigned. Governor Perry appointed him.  He must have looked over all of the applicant’s experience and credentials before he made his appointment. I don’t believe that he would make an appointment without taking all things into consideration. To me, that is reason enough for me to vote for Judge Fudge.

The most important thing is that you vote. I just wanted to let you know some of my thoughts.

Friends,

As you know I always let you know what I think!

I am passionate about this election. Judge Fudge should be our 78th District Court Judge.  He is a man of his word. He is a man of integrity. Most of all, he really cares. When he was appointed by the Governor, he accepted it because he really cares about being a public servant. Humble is a good word to describe him. Fair is another.

I recently received an email from one of my friends about problems that could occur when a District Attorney becomes a judge. It seems to me that this conflict of interest issue could lead to more taxes. That’s the last thing that we need. Why does the DA even want to run?

As his signs say, let’s”Keep Judge Fudge!”
